Our Story
Tampa Bay Spearfishing started as a small group of local divers who wanted a better way to connect, share knowledge, and compete. What began as a handful of spearos posting catch photos on Facebook has grown into a community of over 24,000 members across the Tampa Bay area.
For more than six years, floridaspearfisher.com has been the home base for our community. Now we're taking it further with monthly prize contests and a real-time weather dashboard built specifically for Tampa Bay divers.
What We Do

The Contest App
Our contest and weather app brings the community experience to the next level. For $2 a month, subscribers can compete in monthly prize contests across 10 species categories. The app also provides a real-time weather dashboard with NOAA data for 14 Tampa Bay launch points — including wind, water temperature, tides, and a calculated dive score.
70% of subscription fees go directly to the prize pool. More entries means bigger prizes.
